Genuine Contact Activities in 2011

Genuine Contact is an innovative approach to development and organizational change that taps into the intellectual and intuitive wisdom of individuals and the collective in order to face challenges presented in an increasingly complex and quickly changing world.

The Change Handbook: Group Methods for Shaping the Future describes the Genuine Contact™ Program as providing “a blended, synergistic holistic approach to change and to leadership. It is not about a big, quick splash but rather about developing skills, knowledge and capacity to sustain ongoing organizational change necessary to thrive in today’s constantly changing complex times.”

We are very happy to have the opportunity to organize the following Genuine Contact events in 2011

- Workshops with Sabine Bredemeyer www.bredemeyerandfriends.de: We have invited Sabine Bredemeyer to facilitate two workshops in 2011, Whole Person Process Facilitation (WPPF) and Working with Open Space Technology (OST). To find out more about these workshops please click on WPPF or OST. We are also considering running GCP IV, the Genuine Contact Organization in September 2011. As this workshop is most relevant for people who have already taken the OST workshop we have decided to find out about people's interest and availability before making a definite plan. - Genuine Contact Coffee Meetings: As we have a substantial and growing community of people interested in GC so we have decided to experiment with creating informal coffee meetings to talk about themes relevant to Genuine Contact. The coffee meetings are open to everyone who is interested in the theme we will discuss and/or in the approach offered by Genuine Contact.

Training Events with Sabine Bredemeyer

March 24 - 26, 2011 Whole Person Process Facilitation WPPF
During this workshop you will learn a method for running highly participative meetings that are efficient and highly productive, which generate creativity and improve group cohesiveness. The framework provided by WPPF can be applied to all meetings where people come together for some sort of learning, be it a staff meeting, a training or even a classroom situation. September 1 - 3, 2011 Working with Open Space Technology OST
During this workshop participants will learn to work with Open Space Technology, an elegant and simple to use method to hold meetings that produce results while creating conditions for maximum participation and creativity among those involved. Open Space Technology is a useful tool for anyone interested in harnessing the power of the group for (organizational) transformation, and can be used for meetings from 7 - 1000+ people. In addition to developing a deeper understanding of the Open Space Technology meeting, this workshop supports the process of bringing this powerful tool into organizations and communities by providing guidance for the preparation of the facilitator as well as tools for planning and follow-up of OST meetings to enhance their sustainability.
